What is a Makerspace?
It is a space that is dedicated to teaching our patrons to think for themselves, to think creatively, and to look for do-it-yourself solutions. It is a place where people come together to create with technology.
What will the Inventors Club Makerspace provide?
Our space will be specifically designed to have a Lego Education Program, EV3 & NXT Robotics Program, Music Production, and a Technology Lab. In addition, there will be a technology entrepreneurial-based program for youth ages 15-18 years old. IC Makerspace plan is to improve students’ understanding in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through interactive programs. IC Makerspace is the very first Makerspace in Georgia for k – 8th grade with additional programs for 9th grade and beyond.
Is Inventors Club Makerspace a non-profit?
We are in the process of filing for our non-profit status. We will keep the community updated on the process.
Who can be a Makers?
They are a community of people that are inventors, designers, engineers, teachers, artists, programmers, hackers, tinkerers, craftspeople, and DIY’ers. ( Do-It-Yourself)
