Camp Counselor: 

Counselors provide direct supervision of students who are enrolled in the Inventors Club Summer Camp program, After School Program and  Weekend Classes.  All Counselors play a vital role in developing a positive, safe, and enriching camp experience for every camper. There may be times when the supervision of minors can be challenging;but you are to control the situation to the best of your ability. Inventors club expects all counselors to go over and above there duty in making sure each child leaves with a smile. Counselors will talk with student  parents, be on the lookout for potentially harmful behaviors and situations, provide clear and concise information regarding safety, etc. Students receive the bulk of their information about activities, rules, conduct, and social skills from their Counselors. 
Counselors are also the primary link between the student and Assistant DIrector. 
The Counselors look for support and guidance for their responsibilities by sharing thoughts, ideas and challenges with each other, the Assistant Director , support staff, and Executive Director. 
Below is a general list of information which provides an overview of the types of duties and/or activities and responsibilities assigned to the Counselor position. Generally, all Counselors will be assigned similar and equal job responsibilities, depending upon their employee status. These assignments include, but are not limited to: 
1. Supervision of approximately 10-30 students enrolled in the Inventors Club Programs. 

2. Chaperoning and supervision of late afternoon and evening on & off campus activities 
3.
Equal sharing of mealtime supervision.
4.
Assisting with preparing weekly lessons. 
5. Overseeing, teaching, and guiding students in daily activities. 
6. Being completely familiar with and carrying out of the rules, regulations, and policies of the Inventors Club, as well as the information in the program handbook.
7. Required attendance at the scheduled training sessions and staff meetings. 
8.Meeting all deadlines for paperwork. 
9.Reporting Incidents and help writing incident reports.
10. Assist with clean up and next day preparation. 
11.Being a team player looking to support company goals, mission and vision. 
12. Be able use Lego Curriculum, Knex’s Curriculum, Beginners Gaming Software( Basic). 
This is a temporary assignment for the June 4- June 29   with potential callback for after school employment. 

Hours will vary from 20-30 hours for the week.
